Praise be to Allah

We appreciate your question concerning the ideas that you have about Islam, and we hope to discuss what you have written and correct some of your ideas, so as to arrive at a firm conviction of the truth of the matter.

What you have mentioned about the Islamic belief about Paradise, and the enjoyment of wine, women and song therein, falls wide of the mark. The pleasures of Paradise are not merely physical in nature, they also include the joy of feeling safe and secure, and of being content with God and being close to Him. The greatest joy of all in Paradise will be seeing God, may He be glorified and exalted. When the people of Paradise see the Holy Face of God, they will forget all other kinds of pleasures that they have enjoying. There is in Paradise everything that will delight the heart and eye; no dirty or evil talk is heard there, nor sinful speech. “No person know what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.” [al-Sajdah 32:17 – interpretation of the meaning]. What I am trying to say is that the delights of Paradise are not limited to the kind you refer to in your question. They are far greater than that.

A Letter From Satan

A Letter From Satan

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores. You awoke without stopping to pray.

As a matter of fact, you didn't even bless your meals, or pray before going to bed last night. You are so unthankful, I like that about you. I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed your way of living, Fool, you are mine.

Why Allaah Decrees Wars and Catastrophes

Why Allaah Decrees Wars and Catastrophes

First Khutbah

All perfect praise is due to Allaah; I testify that there is nothing worthy of worship except

Allaah and Muhammad is His Servant and Messenger, upon whom may Allaah send salutations and exalt his mention, as well as that of his family and all his Companions.

Allaah is The All Wise, and wisdom implies placing everything in its correct position; there is great wisdom behind everything that Allaah has created and legislated, which His slaves may or may not grasp. It is those scholars with deep  understanding and firm knowledge who may comprehend some of these wisdoms. Allaah did not create anything  uselessly or aimlessly. Allaah says: “Then did you think that We created you uselessly and that to Us you would not be returned? (Al-Muminoon: 115).

Why was Isa (peace be upon him) singled out to be lifted up into heaven?

Why was Isa (peace be upon him) singled out to be lifted up into heaven?

Given that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) was the best of the Prophets, why was he not lifted up into heaven instead of Isa? And why did Allah single out Isa to be lifted up into heaven and not any of the other Prophets?.

Praise be to Allah.

How The Prophet (pbuh) Performed Ghusl

How The Prophet (pbuh) Performed Ghusl

The Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) began his ghusl by washing his hands and genitals. ‘Aa'ishah reported that whenever the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) wanted to take a ghusl due to sexual defilement (janaabah), he first washed both hands [three times] (Sahih Muslim vol.1, p.183,no. 618).
